Diversity is a constant and compelling issue
in business today. It is neither a new nor
foreign concept. Its mandate has been part
of the American corporate culture and lexicon
for at least two decades.
At its core, true diversity is an all-inclusive
concept. Beyond mandatory equal opportunity and anti-discrimination laws, companies are
expected to pursue voluntary policies and
practices that result in the inclusion of
minorities, women, the disabled and people
of every color, sexual orientation and lifestyle
at every level of the organization.
Diversity also is more than a moral challenge;
it is a bottom-line business imperative driven
by an expanding global economy and new
demographic realities.
As we have worked over the last two and one half decades with Fortune
corporations, CEOs, elected officials, embassies and diplomats, law
firms and companies across many sectors in society, we have been guided
by a few simple principles.
We believe in the dignity of mankind, the value of work and the
enduring contribution of business to society. We believe corporations
have a larger responsibility to society beyond delivering profit to
their shareholders. We believe organizations are more profitable and
competitive when they are diverse and inclusive.
If you share these values, I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you at anytime about your issue, initiative or concern.
